Biophilia; a love of life and the living world

This year, I want more than to just live

I want to cherish my love of life

I want to fill the spaces

I want to notice

I want to notice the tiny bugs having conversations

I want to notice reactions and hopeful glances

And the way my heart swells with appreciation

I want to notice colors

To emphasize the power in stillness

And the way the world goes completely quiet sometimes

I want to apologize and learn

I want to notice how light is in everything

And uncomfortability is simply a nudge towards opportunity

I want to speak unapologetically

And smile at people

I want to create things that fulfill me

And hold tightly to words left unsaid

I think this year will bring peace

And boundaries

Creativity and loss

The essence of being

Of taking moments as they are

Both breathing and loving deeply
