Last year I tested out some new skincare products and gave my reviews for what I tried. Since then, I have changed my routine around quite a bit and figured it was time for an update. Here are all the products I’m currently using and how I feel about them:

Burt’s Bees Sensitive Facial Cleanser ($8.59 at Target)

This is the cleanser I had been using for years before I tried out the Youth to the People cleanser in my last blogpost. It got me through some terrible acne in high school and was the first cleanser that I felt actually did something for my skin. After finishing the Youth to the People cleanser, I decided to go back to Burt’s Bees because I didn’t think the YTTP cleanser did enough to prevent me from breaking out. I stand by my earlier statement that the YTTP cleanser is great, just not for my acne prone skin. This Burt’s Bees cleanser is also so much cheaper and definitely worth it for the price point. It’s fragrance free and really refreshing and gentle for my sensitive skin.

The Ordinary Lactic Acid 10% + HA ($6.80)

This is a skin exfoliant which I decided to try out because I have always had issues with pores on my nose and chin being clogged up. This is one of the newer additions to my skincare routine so I’m not totally sure how well it’s working yet, but I think I’m starting to see some results after about a month of use.  I only use this once or twice a week because I don’t want to overwhelm my skin, and I would recommend taking it easy with any exfoliant you use while your skin gets used to it. Overall, I think this product is doing its job for me, but I’ll need to use it for a little longer before I can be sure.

Purito Centella Unscented Serum ($16.28 on Amazon)

This serum is made to reduce skin inflammation and redness as well as improve hydration and moisture retention which I find really helpful. Redness and dryness have always been issues for me, and I feel like this serum is definitely doing its job in that respect. It’s also a really gentle serum which I like because of my aforementioned sensitive skin. Now that fall is coming up, I can already feel my skin getting dryer, so I’m curious to see how this serum holds up during the colder months.

E.L.F All the Feels Facial Oil ($12)

This is still a keeper! I just love how this oil makes my skin feel. I’ll be using it until the end of time. Check out my last skincare blogpost for a more in-depth review of this product.

E.L.F Superhydrate Moisturizer ($12)

After finishing up my YTTP moisturizer from my last blogpost, I was looking for a cheaper option that would still hydrate my skin really well. After some research I landed here. This is a gel moisturizer, which I had never used before, but I love it. The texture was definitely something to get used to, but it is so cooling on the skin and definitely leaves me feeling refreshed at the end of my skincare routine. The price point for this product is also so much better than the YTTP moisturizer. 10/10 would recommend.

Curology Custom Formula (prices vary)

Ok, this is the real star of this review. Prior to this year I had never met a single person who actually used Curology, I had only seen sponsored reviews of it from youtubers and influencers on Instagram. One day on a weekend trip with some friends I saw a Curology bottle in my friend’s bag, and I asked her if she liked it. She gave me a pretty positive review (it should also be mentioned that she has gorgeous skin) so I decided I would give it a try. I am so happily surprised. When it comes to sponsored content on social media, it can be really hit or miss, but I’m really happy with not only the product here, but the service. In the beginning I was having some issues with dryness from my formula (which is totally normal as your skin gets used to new products) and I decided to send a message to my Curology provider. I got a message back the next day with some tips that definitely helped the dryness dissipate. My skin is currently looking the best it has looked in quite a while, and I’m accrediting that mostly to Curology. I usually get terrible mask acne, but I’ve barely had any at all since I started using my custom formula. I would definitely recommend giving Curology a try.

And that’s everything I’m currently using. Like I said in my last blogpost, everyone’s skin is so different, so products that work for me might not necessarily work for you. That being said, I hope you decide to try out some of these items if you think they could be helpful. Happy skincare hunting!
